Fukuyo Shitomari

It's gonna be an endless comment so I won't be angry if you don't read it ^^

It took me so much time to finish it! Not that it was the longest drawing I could do, but I never managed to find the time to do it seriously, it's been two months I do it little by little. I'm pretty happy with this one but I had many difficulties with her design.
Since I imagined her as an OC from Sengoku Basara (yes one more time I'm becoming a traitor to NG! xp) it was very hard to find a design and combination of colours that doesn't resemble too much the numerous characters of game. I changed it over and over. One time she looked like Motochika Chousokabe, one time like Akechi Mistuhide, one time like Date Masamune, even Keiji Maeda (argh no I don't like him >_<), Kotaro Fuuma etc. Hell, I stopped and coloured anyway. At first I didn't make her dark blue clothes, her arms and breast were bared under her haori. However, I decided to remove any fan service just to make an awesome character and exuberant like the others from Sengoku Basara. Don't know if I reached my goal of awesomeness, you'll tell me ^^'
Her pose is inspired by an illustration from the Dr forlen book by ~shipenglee.

Some quick story lines:
At first, no she is not an historical character at all, I'm not familiar enough with Japan's history for that.
Fukuyo Shitomari was a local unknown warlord's wife always assisting him in the clan's political and economical affairs. Though she is not good with classical ways of fightingg like Kenjutsu or the use of Naginata, she always had an affinity with martial arts and developped her own style. Her husband tried to face Oda Nobunaga's strenghts but died and half of the clan's army were killed. Fukuyo decided to take the head of the clan but couldn't afford to lead the battle since her army got too small. Instead, for the clan's security, she created a hidden network of numerous merchants, mercenaries and more that become very influential through the whole country but remaining unrevealed, thanks to extremly strict and complex rules.
However, one day, Sasuke Sarutobi's ninjas discovered about this network and visited her to deal an alliance that she refused. Few time after, her castle is attacked by Toyotomi Hideyoshi's army wanting to take the control of her organization. She wins the battle, but her foes were not very numerous and more would come soon. She takes the decision to leave her network and break all links with it in order to protect it, and she enters the war against Hideyoshi. Wondering how Hideyoshi discovered her organization, she firstly walks towards the Takeda clan to get explanations, given Sasuke Sarutobi and his ninjas were the only ones who discovered her organization and are still alive. But she is still pursued by Hideyoshi's armies...
In her way she'll meet several warlords: Mouri Motonari, Date Masamune, Chousokabe Motochika, Hisahide Matsunaga...
A nickname for her: The sharks fang XD! Because she always stayed discreet and she is hunted, and if you take off a tooth, another come instantly...

Also made for #UnseenArtists's "OC at their best" contest, I am quite disappointed with the result (it seems that kawainess was the main criteria of selection over originality) but I can't do anything.

I have so much drawings to finish and many new ideas but lack time these days, I need some holidays to stay alone and draw =o
I know my perspective is still awful, but let me time to train and improve ^^
